Hello strangers! Imma start this plotting post with a CW for violence, torture and murder.
This is Reg, who plays Lucifer, and I am coming to you on the tail of yesterday's Majority Report to shine a little light on the missing person's case in Maurtia Falls.
You see, this is all the exciting first section of a plot involving the freshly demonic Dean Winchester and his taste for blood and murder. Dean has come under Lucifer's wing, and at the beginning of this month he showed up with a live body, a Very Bad Man, whom he then tortured to death under Lucifer's instruction.
Right, about that: Dean, as a demon, has something called the Mark of Cain, which latches onto and accentuates the darkest parts of a human being. In Dean's case, it's his violence, his impatience, his love of sex, and thanks to his experiences in Hell, his penchant for torture. If he doesn't feed the Mark's need for violence and murder, the effect is frustration and building rage, until things get out of hand. As a demon, no longer just a man afflicted by a curse, there's nothing holding Dean back, morally. He's dropping bodies, so this, my friends, is officially a murder spree.
Now obviously when lots of people go missing, or bodies start showing up - as they will next month - attention gets drawn. Lucifer thought he was being smart taking people who were being posted on bail, since it was likely that they weren't going to be missed--boy was he wrong! This means there's ways for people to investigate these disappearances, dead bodies, and more.
And, when things evolve, there's going to be a demon to stop, catch, fight, cure, and potential for things to affect not only the political situation in Maurtia Falls, but also criminal justice system follow up, for example, further down the line. The eventual way things will settle are all up in the air, in regards to how Lucifer and Dean will be punished, and depends on how characters interact with the plot.
So at the moment, here's how things are:
- There are two missing persons cases in Maurtia Falls. These can be investigated! If your character has a specific power or method that they'd follow up, please respond in a comment below, and I'll let you know what they can discover!
- The two missing persons, and one further person who was abducted through other means, are dead. They've been abducted, tortured extensively and murdered. Not pretty!
- The bodies have been dumped, in pieces, into the gulf of Mexico a la Dexter Morgan, but that isn't to say that a body or bodies might not show up next month, watch this space.
- Sam Winchester knows how to perform a demon curing ritual. The eventual endgame, presently, is for him to cure Dean. Consequently the question remains: if someone is literally out of their mind, or cursed, how responsible are they for their actions?
- Dean himself is going to be carrying a lot of guilt when he's cured and this plot is over, so that may also come into play.
- idk things

Okay, for now that's the lot, but as I say, it's an evolving situation! The trick with serial killing is always to get past the first one or two, after all!
